Independent educational app
Likhit Tayari is an independent app solely for education and driving licence exam practice. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a representative of the Government of Nepal, the Department of Transport Management (DoTM), or any other government agency or organisation.
About this policy
Likhit Tayari is a driving licence study and practice app provided by Likhit Tayari. This policy explains how Likhit Tayari and its service providers handle information. The advertising section describes the ad-free version 1.3.0 update; notification features may differ between installed versions. Effective date: 5 November 2026. Contact: contact@likhittayari.com.
Information sources and accuracy
Study questions are based on the Department of Transport Management (DoTM) 2082/83 publications for motorcycle/scooter and car/jeep/delivery-van licences. Road-sign meanings and layouts are cross-checked against the Department of Roads Traffic Signs Manual; the reference edition is 1997. Traffic-light guidance also references Nepal Traffic Police. The separate flashing-red pedestrian example references NSW Government guidance; local signal designs and timings may differ. Question wording, answers and illustrations may be adapted for study and may contain errors or become out of date. Please verify current information, eligibility, rules and procedures directly with the relevant official authority before relying on it or taking an examination. The app is an independent educational aid; sources do not imply government affiliation, endorsement or a guarantee of accuracy or a pass result. Illustrations explain learning scenarios and are not official government instructions.
Data stored on your device
The app stores your chosen display name, language, vehicle category, study preferences, onboarding status and optional reminder and narration sound settings on your device. Practice answers are used to show your exam result. Bookmarked questions, checked answers, mistakes and up to 100 completed practice or mock-exam sessions are stored locally on your device to provide bookmarks, mistake review and progress summaries. You can remove individual bookmarks and clear learning history from the Progress screen; clearing history keeps bookmarks. This learning activity is not sent to our servers. No account, driving licence number, government ID, contacts, camera, microphone or precise location is required. The offline question and road-sign collections are bundled with the app.
Advertising and analytics
This version of Likhit Tayari does not display ads and does not include AdMob, Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics SDKs. It does not request the advertising identifier or send practice activity to advertising or analytics providers. Study, exams and results remain available without ads or an internet connection.
Other network requests
Question images, traffic-light images and colour-recognition practice images are bundled for offline use. Links to the app stores, our website, privacy resources and email open only when you choose them. The bundled study collections work without a backend connection.
Optional spoken instructions
The current signal lessons include prerecorded educational narration. Sound is enabled by default during lesson playback and can be muted; your choice is stored on your device. Recordings follow your chosen app language. They are bundled with the app and play offline: playback does not send lesson text, your name, answers or learning history to Google or another speech provider. Likhit Tayari used Google speech-generation tools to prepare recordings from educational scripts before release. No microphone or speech recording permission is requested. Pausing a lesson, leaving its screen or backgrounding the app pauses or stops narration. Earlier test versions may instead use the device speech service, under the device settings and provider terms.
Support and reports
If you choose to email support or report a question, your email application prepares a message. We receive information you choose to send, such as your email address, message and reported question. Do not include driving licence numbers or other unnecessary sensitive information. Support messages are used to answer your request and maintain the app.
Notifications
Study reminders are optional. The app requests notification permission only when you enable reminders. Reminder scheduling is performed on your device, using the device time zone. Local reminders are separate from remote push notifications delivered through OneSignal in versions that support that integration. You can turn reminders off in the app or in system settings.
OneSignal push notifications
Likhit Tayari uses OneSignal to support remote push notifications in app versions with that integration. OneSignal may process push tokens, subscription and device identifiers, IP address, device and operating-system information, language, time zone, notification permission status, and notification delivery or interaction information to register subscriptions, deliver messages and operate the notification service. The information processed depends on the installed app version and configuration. You can disable notification display in your device settings; this does not necessarily delete an existing subscription or all provider-held information. To request access to or deletion of notification-related personal information, contact contact@likhittayari.com. OneSignal handles information under its privacy policy at https://onesignal.com/privacy_policy. Offline study and local reminders do not require remote push delivery.
Sharing and security
We do not sell your personal information. Support email is processed by our email hosting provider, Namecheap, and the email providers involved in delivering your message. Our public privacy page is hosted through Cloudflare; visiting it may expose technical request information, such as your IP address and browser information, to the hosting provider for delivery and security. Email and website hosting providers do not receive your offline practice answers from the app. OneSignal processes notification-related information as described above. Information may also be disclosed when legally required. Network resources configured by this update use HTTPS; local app storage is protected by the operating system. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
Retention and deletion
Local app preferences remain until you clear the app storage or uninstall the app, subject to any operating-system backup and restore settings. There is no app login account. A OneSignal notification subscription is a separate provider-held record; contact us to request deletion of notification-related information. We retain support correspondence for as long as needed to resolve the request, maintain relevant support records or meet legal obligations. To request deletion of support correspondence, contact contact@likhittayari.com; we will act on your request except where retention is legally required. Email providers handle support correspondence under their own policies. Uninstalling the app does not delete messages already sent to support.
Children and external services
The app is intended for learners aged 13 and over studying road safety and preparing for a driving licence examination. Studying with the app does not establish eligibility to drive or apply for a licence. The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has sent personal information to support, contact us so we can delete it. External websites and your email provider have their own privacy practices; review their policies before using them.
Cookies, tracking and marketing
The current app does not use tracking pixels, advertising cookies or cross-app tracking, and does not automatically send screen-view or time-spent analytics to us. Local preferences support app functionality. External websites or app stores you choose to open may use their own cookies and technologies under their policies. We use support contact information to handle your request, not to send marketing messages.
Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold, restrict or object to processing, request portability, or complain to a data protection authority. Contact contact@likhittayari.com to exercise these rights. We may need proportionate information to verify a request, but do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are necessary. Local preferences can be changed in the app or removed through device settings; we cannot remotely access them. Where a feature relies on permission or consent, you can withdraw it in the app or device settings without affecting earlier lawful processing. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Earlier app versions and historical information
This policy describes the ad-free version 1.3.0 update. Earlier releases may have used different services, including advertising or remote notifications. Updating or uninstalling an app does not automatically erase information previously held by a service provider. For questions about information from an earlier release, including a previous OneSignal notification subscription, contact contact@likhittayari.com. We will investigate the relevant service and respond to access or deletion requests as required by applicable law.
Service locations and security incidents
Email and website hosting providers may process information in countries other than your own, under their applicable terms and privacy policies. Data protection rules may differ between countries. Where applicable law requires safeguards for information we transfer, we must apply those safeguards. If a security incident affects personal information we hold, we will provide any notices required by applicable law.
Changes and contact
